Awhile ago I wrote about a talented member of our widow/widowers group who made a beautiful quilted wall hanging from her husband’s ties as a keepsake. She has also made countless other meaningful quilts and wall hangings as gifts to others.
Maybe you are considering giving keepsakes of some kind this Christmas in memory of your spouse. It might be jewelry, photos or something you created. If you do not feel you have the necessary talent or meaningful items, I assure you that you do have something to give. It can be as simple as a photo in a special frame – especially if you attach a note about the photo or about why you chose it. And even if you do not have photos, you still have something special that no one else can give. You are treasured. Your presence and your words of wisdom, love or gratitude can be one of this Christmas’s greatest gifts.
